SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK
6-WEEK INTENSIVE THEATRE FOR YOUTHS
Date: March 18th – April 22nd, 2018
Time: Sundays, 2pm – 5pm
Venue: Open-Air Park, Tsinghua Campus, Wudaokou, Haidian District
In this 6-week workshop, students will explore the basic principles of acting, including listening and responding, risk-taking and making bold choices. The workshop will be taught in English, and so a prerequisite for entry is to have at least an intermediate level of spoken English. Students will be expected to have lines memorized for one short scene when they arrive on the first day.
The workshop culminates in the filming of each scene, thus providing students with a video for their portfolio.

6-WEEK INTENSIVE THEATRE FOR ADULTS
Date: March 17th – April 21st, 2018
Time: Saturdays, 2pm – 5pm
Venue: Rooftop space, Tsinghua Campus, Wudaokou, Haidian District
Instructor: enna morgan
This 6-week workshop is to help actors become more familiar and comfortable with Shakespearean text. The goal of this class is to expand the actor’s vocal, physical, emotional and imaginative responsiveness to Shakespeare’s language and to increase the actor’s ability to fully and pleasurably embody the demands and joys of Shakespeare’s text.
The workshop will be taught in English, and so a prerequisite for entry is to have at least an intermediate level of spoken English. Scenes will be distributed prior to the workshop to allow students to become familiar with the material. Students will be expected to off book at the start of the workshop where they will analyze, rehearse and perform for both the stage and on camera.
The class will culminate with the filming of each scene, and a video for students’ portfolio
